Technology & QualityTECHNOLOGY & QUALITY

Quality Comes from Technology. Technology Comes from the Team.

Systematic training builds a high-quality construction team, and a standardized quality control process confirms, item by item, that every stage meets customer requirements.

Materials

Piping Materials and Fittings

Explore the basic properties of common plastic piping materials and the forms of their fittings.

Illustrative pipes and fittings

PP

Polypropylene

A corrosion-resistant thermoplastic. Pipes and fittings can be joined by heat fusion.

PVDF

Polyvinylidene Fluoride

A fluoropolymer with chemical resistance and mechanical strength, used to make pipes, fittings and valves.

Illustrative pipes and fittings

PVC

Polyvinyl Chloride

A common rigid plastic piping material with corrosion resistance and a wide range of pipe and fitting forms.

Illustrative pipes and fittings

CPVC

Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride

PVC modified by chlorination, with greater heat resistance than standard PVC. Available in pipe and fitting forms.

PFA

Perfluoroalkoxy Polymer

A melt-processable fluoropolymer with chemical resistance, used to make tubing, pipes and various connection fittings.

Clear PVC

Transparent Polyvinyl Chloride

Transparent PVC pipes and fittings, with clear walls that allow the inside of the pipe to be viewed.

Jointing & Inspection

Jointing and Self-Inspection in Plastic Piping

The jointing method is selected against the material, diameter and site conditions, with self-inspection before and after the work.

  • 01IR FusionA fusion method that heats the pipe ends by infrared before joining; its use is assessed against the material and site conditions.
  • 02Hand WeldingManual welding with a filler rod, used where site space or the angle of a joint limits other methods.
  • 03AssemblyFittings are assembled and aligned to the construction drawing, checking dimensions, direction and joint positions.
  • 04Self-InspectionBefore and after the work, the crew checks appearance, joints and fixing, and records it through the defined process.

Method and conditions are selected against material, diameter and site conditions, and confirmed when a project is assessed.

System Coverage

Facility Piping Systems

Explore the roles of chemical, ultrapure water, drainage and clean dry air systems.

  • Chemical Supply SystemChemical

Delivers process chemicals to equipment and points of use.

  • Ultrapure Water SystemUPW

Delivers ultrapure water to process equipment and points of use for cleaning, rinsing and other process needs.

  • Drainage SystemDRAIN

Collects wastewater from equipment and processes and conveys it to the appropriate recovery or treatment systems within the facility.

  • Clean Dry Air SystemCDA

Supplies dried and filtered compressed air for pneumatic equipment, instrumentation, purging and related uses.

Quality Management

Standardized Process and Inspection Items

Work is executed to owner specifications and construction standards, with the corresponding inspection and testing at each stage.

Safety on Site

Safety Is the Prerequisite

Pre-work checks and protective measures are enforced on site; work at height, fusion welding and chemical handling each follow defined rules.

  • 01Pre-work safety checks and risk briefing
  • 02Fall-arrest harness and a spotter for work at height
  • 03Fusion equipment setup and work-environment checks
  • 04Protective measures for chemical handling
